Sisters of Steelby Hardeep Singh WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH It’s not your fault that you’ve been treated unfair in society. You are not less than the male you are not weak, you are much, much more. Your only weakness is in the valuation of your self. Please do not take this offensively I am nothing more than your humble servant, I can assure you of this. The valuation of ones inner reality is very important. My dear sisters you have your very own identity, which is based on the highest standards of purity and equality, blessed upon you by the gracious GURU’S. Your lineage goes back to the great mothers of many martyrs and the sisters of steel. You have been blessed as the very princesses of the pure. You have the power within you to change what is unjust. You are the future of the generations to come, you can imprint the path for the coming generations, and a path that will lead your sisters and your daughters to a way of life that will be envied by many in this world. We only need to look around and we can see how the claim for equality has been exploited by society. The fact that the male can seem to get away all the things in our society such as; clubbing, drinking, smoking and all the rest of the garbage that many males get into without really answering to anyone. This scenario leads to the question prompted by our modern society to the females “ Well why can’t you do this too?” Well the answer to that question is that YOU CAN, however how will this make you EQUAL? How will it make you superior? If one was to go into battle against an enemy who had one arm, cutting off one of his own arms may make the battle more equal, but would it be a sane, sensible thing to do? Think about it. The male thinks he clever by abusing the system, but the fact is that he is abusing himself. In extreme cases he loses more than he bargains for. Modern society wants you to believe that if you do the same things that the male is doing, you will be on a pedestal of equality. This is not true. All that has been achieved is that the female has given into the same weaknesses as the man, and further more followed the actions of a male possibly without questioning the physical, mental, spiritual and moral implications of these actions. The equality under these circumstances is totally misguided. I do understand the frustrations that some females in the Asian community go through, although being male I can’t own up to directly experiencing them, however I see the need for big improvements in attitudes from all of the community towards the female. The term equality is to be equal, but to be equal to what is the equation that has to be solved. Equality will not be achieved by lowering ones own value; this is where a lot of Sisters fail their cause. There must be a strong positive inner valuation of one’s self if one is to succeed to be equal. Equality must be achieved on your own personal definitions and not be shortchanged with the views and actions of society around you. Mai Bhago instilled the warrior spirit in the forty Sikhs who turned their backs on the battlefield, she showed them the power of the female, and she led the MEN into battle. This action was the very apex of equality it was an action based on divine inspiration, spirituality, morality and individuality. My dear Sisters your time is here time to be fearless, time to be individual, time for the Sisters of Steel to obtain Fateh (victory) and touch the infinite sky. WHEN HE IS OUR PROTECTOR, WHY FEAR, Your Humble Servant, WAHEGURU JI KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH. |
